You know what's funny? Western leftists do not give a single fuck about their country or its character. Ghettos in a host country are a sign of progress to them - more ethnics setting up their own enclaves. Look how well they're doing! Look how happy they are in my country! And of course, if you disagree with them they'll shout you down because, let's be honest, when it all comes down to it they really *are* trying to do something that is "good"; they're bringing in the poor and huddled masses and giving them a system where they could be more than they ever could in their home countries, even if it is at the native's expense. According to Judeo-Christian tradition (a tradition which they are ironically hell-bent on dismantling, notice how they never had anything but harsh words for Christianity + the church until the refugee crisis, at which point it all become 'Jesus was a refugee', 'bible says help thy neighbor', 'if you're a real Christian you should be helping them!' etc etc etc.). What doesn't make any fucking sense is that they could have their happy little world in a way which doesn't destroy the native country. They could take all the money they spend on welfare for immigrants, jail time, and whatever else is associated with them and invest it in the places where immigrants come from. They could make those places prosperous and alleviate the suffering of an entire mass of people without fucking up their home countries. With regards to the refugees, they could take all that money they're spending on bringing refugees into Europe and use it to set up refugee camps closer to home in Iran or Saudi Arabia or Jordan or Turkey where the refugees don't have to die trying to get to Europe or rely on criminals to smuggle them in. They could do a thousand different things which make a thousand times more sense than what they're doing and are morally congruent with their ideology, as well as more effective, but they fucking don't. They just don't. That's the part I really don't understand about this. Sure, you could bring in 100,000 immigrants and give them welfare for 10 years + a house before they get sent back, if they get sent back, or you could take those billions of dollars and invest it in their country.

You make their home country better, you stop the reason for immigration in the first place, you preserve your traditions and theirs, you avoid any sort of shit that you could have to deal with in terms of assimilation, you save lives and money by having less criminals, you create another self sufficient country that can provide for its own people and govern its own path instead of being a poor shithole where people still die of polio, but they just don't do it. You never see it happening. Instead, they keep states in a constant state of dependency, let it remain an absolute shithole and accept the immigrants that are trying to run away from it. It's like constantly draining pus from a wound instead of treating it with antibiotics, it's taking care of a symptom of a problem without ever actually trying to fix the root. I don't get why the fuck they don't do that. Is it self-hatred? Collective guilt over past wrongs? Is it some sort of strange fetishisation of foreigners/foreign culture over that of the native population? Is it an inferiority complex, where these people feel they need to import people of sterner stuff to prop their country up? Is it a sense of misguided patriotism, where some sort of Frankenstein-70's-USA-esque model of immigration is the only path to prosperity, and they're genuinely trying to help their country? I don't know, I really don't know.
