Go on then.

youre fucking retarded if you think youre gonna be able to see all of that without like 10k and three months of time, unless you just want to spend two days in every city and then spend a day traveling tbqh
>>
>>52935318

Within Europe it's the best to travel with plane. For ex check wizzair, easyjet, Ryanair, airberlin. If you plan in advance you can get tickets for 15-30 EUR to most European cities.
>>
>>52935583

>>
>>52935589
yea, that's 64 days if you just spend two days in each city not factoring in travel
>>
>>52935646
Berlin is pretty interesting and historic to me.
>>
>>52935589

Bratislava is noth special or better, nothing new in terms of mentality or architecture. You will see the same in bigger size like 10 times on your trip. Poland I'd visit Cracow instead of Warsaw. Also Stockholm is boring as fuck, by seeing Copenhagen you've seen this architecture and mentality as well. You should go to Norway instead to enjoy some nature. Also, with the exception of Berlin basically every German city looks the same. You should dedicate more time to Spain and Italy as there its pretty diverse, also you should visit at least Split to get an idea of Balkans, it's near your route anyway.
>>
>>52935648
if you want my advice, cause i dont think youre gonna get any from anyone else in here, cause everyone's buttblasted that youre going on vacation apparently

dont spread yourself too thin and don't rail yourself to an itinerary that much

last time i went to europe i found out that i really liked athens so i spent 3 or 4 days longer there than i expected to, but i budgeted a lot of time for things like that so it didnt matter
>>

>>52935089
do this >>52935702 OP, enjoy your trip.
>>
>>52935609
>>52935089

pretty much this

capital hopping is the worst way to see Europe, it's even worse than literal package tours.

OP, I'd suggest picking one country or an area (Balkans, former A-H, Benelux, etc.) and travelling only there for starters.

Try to get an idea why you want to travel in the first place so that you base your trip around that.
If you're in it for the history and culture, off tracking is neat.
If you're in it for the people, going off the beaten track is essential.
If you just want to party in clubs and are a trust fund kiddie, then you might as well capital hop.
>>
>>52935089
skip Neapole unless muh heritage wop instinct. Also idk bout Marseilles but French posters tend to shit on it as kabul tier so ask around first. I have a travel book from the late 80s on it and it looks really nice though, esp the style of grand buildings which are almost a precursor of the stripped classicism and show a lot of decorative restraint unseen in French arhitecture at that time, which tended to be top heavy with a lot of statues and shit perched on roofs.
>>
>>52935648
Let me help you.
You cant possibly visit ALL THOSE PLACES in three months AND ENJOY IT.
Make a list of all the cities you want to visit then begin to narrow it down until you reach the top 5.
That way you might visit lets say the Western Europe and come back another time for eastern.
>>52935702
Also this 10/10 pro tip
>>
>>52935089
Skip Marseille, go Nice.
Skip Zagreb, go Dubrovnik.

Visiting Croatia's coastal cities during the winter is a waste of time unless you really get old architecture hard-on. And in the summer it's all horribly commercialized tourism when no one really wants your ass around, but you're tolerated because you're a spender. Ironically, I found continental parts of Croatia to be much more tourist friendly for some reason.

well, most people don't have experience with travel and only do one or two meme trips to europe, usa or thailand and so they have unrealistic expectations.
What doesn't help is that those people then go on to create travel advice in some kind of media (or it's memes like Roadtrip), that reinforce these perceptions.

After reading the thread: Your trip will be shit in such a short time. Go to fewer cities and take your time there. You can cut out Bordeaux, Lisbon, Malaga, Valencia, Marseille (Jesus, dont go there), Naples, Laibach, Zagreb, Bratislava, Warsaw, Bern, Frankfurt, Berlin, Copenhagen
All of these can be explored for two weeks and my list here may or may not be the best but if you have limited time, cut them out and take several days for each city.

r8 my places to go list in Europe. I like cool architecture and castles as well as old medieval villages and churches. Definitely go to Bohinj (or Bled if you're into tourist traps and a nice castle) if in the warmer part of the year.
Since you're into castles and churches n shiet, go see the church in Ptuj, it's a tabor (common folk defended against turkish raids by building walls around churches)
Don't forget to visit Emona wall in Ljubljana, it's the ancient roman wall, nearly 2000 years old.

Oh and I suggest Ghent over Brugges if you're gonna have to pick and choose.

In general most Andalucia is a hot hell for people used to an oceanic climate.

I've added all the must tier and most of the Very Good choice tier. I'll do some further googling to decide which ones will make the final cut of the list or not. Thanks man

You're welcome, mate.

Toledo and Segovia are close to Madrid, so they are a good alternative for a one-day trip.

If you go from Sevilla to Granada, you can go to Cordoba in your way.

The rest are probably a bit out of the route.

From Basque Country, if you cannot spend a good ammount of time (a few suggestions):

Must Tier:
- Bilbao
- San Sebastián/Donostia

Very Good Tier:
- Pamplona/Iruña
- Bayonne/Baiona
- Zarauz/Zarautz
- Getaria
- Fuenterrabía/Hondarribia
- Saint Jean de Luz/Donibane Lehizune
- Biarritz/Miarritze
- San Juan de Gaztelugatxe

Good Tier:
- Vitoria
- Gernika
- Zumaia
- Orio
- Mundaka
- Orduña
- Laguardia

I don't know Maule and Saint Jean de Pied de Port to tell you.

Thanks for the help. Its gonna be hard to cram visiting all these cities and seeing the sights into one lifetime, but I'll try

I know, that's why I told you that depending on how much time you have there are more or less places to visit.

It all depends on how many days you want to spend in an area. You can have a nice overview of Basque Country with 4 days (minimum, I'll say). But you can be here forever and yet have places that you don't know.

On the same fashion, Spain is rather huge and diverse. I'll say there are many cities that require no less than two days (other as much as three or four just to have a general view of it). Of course, some smaller/less interesting ones can be seen in a day. And once again, I'm only speaking of major cities. If we add smaller towns and villages that are well worth a visit...

Are you planning any trip anytime soon?

No this trip isn't happening very soon I'm still pretty young. When I graduate Uni I hope I can travel more extensively though. Spain as well as France and Italy interest me quite a bit regarding European countries. I want to spend as much time there as I can

>Marse
>petite ceinture
3 whole departments, you have to be more explicit. You should just consider it as part of the Parisian metropolis, and call it Paris.

>pic du midi
Just a mountain. There is a good view, an observatory, but if you are not in this place for another reason, it does not worths ten hours of driving.

>Chambord
We have hundred of castles like this one. You should do the "road of the wine" following the Loire and meet all the chateaux and troglodytes habitations there.

>Dordogne
Comfy as fuck, but it is very large. As a turist, you should focus on a few things.
>>
>>52952034
I meant by the petit ceinture actually trying to sneak onto the old elevated train track because I heard there was some cool stuff to see up there. Its kind of degenerate though I'll consider taking that part off.
I was told the Aiguille du midi is a must by another Frenchman on this board...not sure what to believe here
Road of the wine sounds interesting I'll look into that.
What is Marse? Is that another name for the loire valley?

You might enjoy Carcassonne in France.

Is this the road of the wine you are talking about?
>>
>>52953121
No, he's talking about the Loire river.

It's full of castle (built during the Renaissance by noble to replace their fortress) and winery (white wine essentially).
>>
>>52954266
Ah I see. I'll look into that

American, listen here. If you want to have MEMORABLE experiences that you'll remember for decades and stories worth telling, don't go to the nice parts everyone recommends. They're usually tourist traps filled with DSLR-carrying chinks and gypsies using every trick up their sleeve to rob you. At most you'll take some decent photos but that's about it.

Imo cities worth visiting:

-Berlin
-Dublin
-Budapest
-Prague
-Belgrade
-Sunny beach in bulgaria is cheap as fuck, lots of euros and jews.
-Athens
-Paris (find some huge artist performing to see the stadiums)
-Catch at least one summer festival: tomorrowland, sziget, exit in serbia.

Rest is garbage you can see when you're in your middle age and taking your kids on a culture trip.

You'll feel the history under your feet as you walk places like Berlin, smell the air where fucking Hitler used to hold rallies, see the east/west wall divisions, party it up, go down to slavshit capitals, see amazing architecture (Prague inspired the Disney logo for instance) and try out the best beer for next to nothing. People walk everywhere, you don't need a car. Drop by the balkans so you go out your comfort zone a bit, and try to end it in Paris because it has the nicest architecture ever. Flights in europe are cheap (they can go down to $10-20 one way) but take buses even if it takes longer because you'll see the landscape, it's the best thing ever. Good luck.
