breddy gud.

Looks like they are progressing well with the training.

>>52851438
Too bad that Russia never expanded/modernized the Su-33 but instead went with the less capable MiG-29.

The J-15 would be what a notional "Su-33M2" would look like, with advanced weapons, AESA and multirole etc.

They are learning to build carriers. Ski-jump carriers are low-risk and very reliable compared to catapult-carriers (fewer things to break down).

Their next carrier is suppossed to have at least a waist catapult in addition to the ski-jump.
>>
>>52852215
The need for it didn't arise until the south Chinese sea dispute

Even the soviets had a limited number of cariers, I thought 2 but I could be wrong

USSR only had one, unless you want to count their helicopter carriers. The second one is the unfinished Varyag, which is now operated by China as the Liaoning which is shown in OP's pic and video.

China will get their 2nd carrier soon enough.

m8 you probably misunderstood me.
I meant flat deck as a place to park your jets and put a runway on, not without ski jump
>>
>>52859606
Ok, the british ski-jump is really bad, as it allows just one plane to take off in a time. The second one needs time to get into the single launch position of the ship, which makes carrier ops slow as shit.

The Russian/Chinese carriers allow for three planes to take off in a rapid succession.
Like in this webm,
>>52850162
one can see that two planes at the forward position of the carrier can take off quickly after another, and the third at the position in the back will take off as soon as the two before him are launched.

Ski jump carriers in general have the advantage that they can launch aircraft quite rapidly at a steady pace, without the need for charging the steam-boilers/capacitors for steam or EM catapults. Lacking flat-deck catapults, they also have fewer things that can break down and need maintenance, overall making them very reliable carriers.

Are there any native Europeans on 4chan?

The mess hall is comfy. Most are on flagships nowadays.

Ocean has huge waves and it's like 6 celsius water. You'd die in 5-10 minutes without gear.

This is what happens when country is comprised of nothing but small and large zones (read: prison).

Russia (and USSR before it), China and North Korea, only countries in the world that has more concentration and labour (that is aimed at destroying the subject) camps than schools.

Brit carrier ski-jump is different. Look at this pic and compare it with the setup in the webm of OP.

One single launch position on the QE vs 3 launch positions on the Kutznesov/Liaoning

Though the single launch position has a longer runway than the two shorter of the Chinese carrier. But they also have a long runway amidship.

Actually arose after the third strait of taiwan crisis in the 1990s.

The Chinese were humiliated after the USN made them back the fuck off. They have been spending 100s of billions in their navy ever since then.
