Found this cutie on the roof :3
it is poisonous?
>>52840428
Gonna put him outside or stick him in a corner? I put jumping spiders here at my house outside because no bugs inside. Pic related is my spider bro
That's the ceiling
>>52840468
its in fucking australia what do you think
>>52840478
Its the floor.
>>52840468
I think that's your typical Australian huntsman spider. Non venomous (at least to humans I think) and are pretty chill for how NOPE they look.
>>52840515
This. Also they hunt cockroaches. Want one?
>>52840478
Your a cieling
This was our shed the other day
The resident huntsman had babies I guess
>>52840558
s-s-serbian spiders?
>>52840572
>your
>cieling
B-BWAH
H-HOW CAN TOU GUYS GET NEAR SUCH CREATURES?
U-UH, A-AH
>>52840558
We don't get too many roaches where I live and if we do, they're tiny. Pic related is my version of your spider bros. Since that's the biggest I've seen other than tarantulas and those are out in the desert.
>>52840558
>His country has cockroaches
That's a pretty bro spider though
>>52840615
wew lad it's so small I can't see it
>>52840575
KILL IT WITH FIRE
>>52840615
Oops.
>>52840627
Forgot the pic but they are pretty small. Fun to play with though. I used to fuck with this one with my laser pointer.
It reminds me of that show, Zoo, where animals go apeshit and start plotting to attack humans, even developping inter-species communication. When I was watching it, I remember thinking Australia would be lost within a week.
why are useful insects always so spooky
>>52840575
>2spooky4me
Seriously, I'm gonna have nightmares from that
>>52840687
DELET THIS DELET THIS DELET THIS
>>52840631
>>52840689
Huntsmans are basically harmless, also they are a lot smaller than they seem in the photo
We've noticed the mum living in the shed for a while now, then we saw those last week.
They're fine as long as they don't migrate to the car.
Once my dad had a huntsman living behind the drivers' side mirror of his car, and he had to poke it with a zip tie through the gap between the edge and the glass, to piss it off and make it crawl out.
>>52840689
2bh, if I lived there, I wouldn't mind them. After awhile with growing up near banana spiders, I came to realize they might look spooky, but really are harmless. My brother stuck one of these in his room and had no problems with bugs
>>52840677
You mean your animals aren't already trying to kill you?
>Australia
Why am I not surprised?
>>52840428
It's tiny. Aren't you embarrassed as an Aussie? That's the typical spider you'd find here.
GAH
YOU BASTARDS
THE ONE NIGHT I DECIDE TO SWOONCE INTO /int/ AND N-NOW IM GONNA HAVE NIGHTMARES ABOUT THESE..."THINGS"
D-DAMMIT, GUYS
>>52840804
*hugs you*
It'll be okay sweetie xx
>>52840804
*puts arm round*
You'll be fine hunnybun xoxo
>>52840768
We got wolves, and boars kill more hunters than anything else, but besides that, I think pic related is the most dangerous thing we have.
>yfw you will never have a daddy long legs move into a corner of your bathroom, and willingly guard your shower from dangerous spiders
>>52840859
>tfw haven't seen one on ages
I fucking love daddy long legs
>>52840900
>one of the most dangerous spiders
>bite can't penetrate human skin
I've got one living in the space between my bedside table and wall at the moment.
>>52840428
BURN THE FUCKING HOUSE
>>52840965
Honestly I think that's just a common myth. We used to have potato bugs all over my house in Washington state. Kinda like daddy long legs in looks but a totally different species.
>>52840965
It's a partial myth, even swallowing them wouldn't kill anyone and people accidentally swallow them in their sleep all the time and never know. They don't have enough to kill a human
>>52840646
we get those little jumping spiders here too, they're cute as fuck and pretty bro
>>52840980
WATCH OUT
YOU MIGHT GET WHAT YOU'RE AFTER
>>52841037
Probably right. But they don't do a bad job of keeping the nastier bugs away.
I like huntsmen but can they stop scaring the shit out of me.
>3am last week when it was stupidly hot
>go into the kitchen for a stubby
>dim light from sink lights
>rub my eyes wondering why there's a shadow next to the fridge handle
>realise it's a spider the size of my hand
>shart myself
luckily neighbours have no idea why there was a shit filled pair of briefs in their council recycling bin
>>52840558
>living in a country where you need to kill cockroaches
>>52841167
it has been in our dna since ww1
>>52841167
What do you mean? Do you not have roaches? Everyone has roaches
>>52841208
Ive never seen a wild one, only ones kept as pets.
>>52840575
This isn't huntsman
Huntsman doesn't make web
Disappointed in your spider knowledge Ausbro
Or maybe it's huntsman, they seem to make nest web after all
>>52841355
The do need to make egg sacs.
>>52840623
Finland has cockroaches too, they don't belong here but the German cockroaches spread with luggage and shit
>>52841355
>>52841397
Have you ever popped one of these? I did when I was a kid and all the babby made my sister flee the house
>>52841263
>>52841355
Nah I don't know much about spiders, my brother said it was a huntsman so I went with it.
>>52841424
Have never seen one I hope I do when I go to Australia soon
And I hope not to see a funnel web or red back
>>52841473
There's a qt Finnish guy traveling the eastern seaboard and periscoping about it, make sure you wear a hat and sun screen
>>52841473
>red back
That a black widow? You won't ever see one unless you like crawling around dark, moist areas. Same with funnels unless you purposely fuck with one of their holes like my brothers and I used to do.
>>52841550
>That a black widow?
no, red backs are only found in Australia but we have black widows too
>>52841550
they're rare but the summer weather really brings them out in backyards and parks here in inner sydney
>>52841596
>2nd picture on Google is one eating a snake
Christ man that's brutal shit.
>>52841550
Black widow belong to same family as redbacks but redbacks are specifically Australian
I heard you might see funnel webs in Sydney where I'm staying a couple of weeks
The rule is that if it's black, stay away from it
>>52841664
Seems to be a general rule of thumb between many species, eh?
>>52841664
>The rule is that if it's black, stay away from it
There's a racists joke in there
>>52841856
I haven't seen one that colour before
>>52841037
>people accidentally swallow them in their sleep all the time and never know.
That's also a myth
But yes, they are completely harmless
>>52841897
I think they look like that for a while after they malt
>>52840859
I have this 365 days of the year
God bless melbourne
Jumping spider bros = best spiders
The ones that are safest to handle look the scariest
>>52842158
ma nigga
>>52841473
...before he sees you!
They're about 4-5cm across
who /goldenorb/ here?
>>52842271
To be honest I think this is more scared of us than we are scared of it but there's also the danger of sticking your hand to wrong place
Someone post the webm of the qt girl with spiders in her mouth.
I bet she's an Aussie.
>>52842317
They're really not scared of much.
They mind their own business and don't go out of their way to bite, just check your shoes if you're out camping as they're pretty comfy places to hide.
>>52842350
she is
don't have the webm though
>>52842408
AHA! I knew it!
It's alright, I screamed when I first saw it.
>>52842440
lol yeah it's pretty unexpected
>>52842350
>>52842408
>>52842440
So is anyone able to post it?
>literally ALL the Australians ITT
