Hard mode: no USA/Russia (or USSR) or your home country.

Not a weeb at all, but I loved the hype for the country during the 1980s. Just look at all those dystopian movies, depicting the future as led by Japanese cyberpunk corporations. Back when the country was being predicted to overtake the US as the main global economy be the turn of the millenium, where even fucking animes did nothing else than showing how important the land is and will be in the future.
