I was imitating Trump, but yeah you're more or less right.
Gatineau is largely a bedroom community for Anglos who work in Ottawa, but there are some jobs there too.
Montreal has always had a bit of an Anglo presence, which the jobs expanded. Mcgill also attracts lots of Anglos. I'm from San Francisco, but I went to University at McGill and never left.
I speak French with my girlfriend and most of my friends though, so I'm sort of assimilated.
