Liberalism by definition is the ideology of personal freedom, then you have different kinds of liberalism which take position what kind of state there should be (socialiberalism believe in large state, classical liberalism/libertarianism believe in small state). Liberals don't care about sexuality, they merely care that certain natural rights are give to everyone and that these rights cannot be taken or given away.
