Had these a lot on the farm I grew up on in Henan. They leave you alone as long as you keep a fair distance from them. As a kid we used to throw small animals at groups of them (they would gather on some of our trees)

I got bitten by such fucker when I was yound and thought it was a good idea to fuck with their nest. although I find them rather 'friendly' and harmless overall. whenever one flies into my flat I just pick up a towel, catch it and throw it out in the window without doing any harm to them. I actually do this to any insect as I'm too sentimental to do any harm to living things... except mosquitoes for obvious reasons.
