Why are people assuming air superiority automatically wins the war? Eighteen months of bombing ISIS has achieved next to nothing.
In the Battle of France the Allies were superior in both numbers and technology. Nazi Germany had logistics largely reliant on horse-drawn carriages. But they had superior training and superior doctrine. It required vastly superior numbers along with vast technological/industrial superiority to bring Nazi Germany down and it still took 6 years.
