But little, tiny part of me is currious, how I would find myself in this world with a whole new ruleset, so different than the one, that works during peace.

We are anonymous and wouldn't know each other. I would hestitate more about killing my friends from some specific online game.
It would all depend on the situation. If the fight was honorable, I would treat it as our last duel and try to kill my friend, just as we did countless times in the game. After all, this is what we were doing all the time, more or less. I would have an opportunity to check if they are better or worse than me IRL - even though real fight is totally different to the one known from our game and considering how much of real battles is covering fire, most likely none of us will manage to kill the other.
If he surrendered or would be unarmed, I would never kill him and would do my best to give him the best conditions available to prisoners. I could even help him escape, if that meant death to him.
I don't know if it sounds edgy or not, but well, what else could I do? Join his side? I have much more to lose on my side - family, real life friends, possibly children some day. I would be sad after killing him and certainly would visit his grave, but I don't see any other option.
/int/ is a pretty neutral community. We are like generic guys from the street, who like to be anonymous and it's not like we even know a single other /int/ernational guy.
On the other hand, I would probably gladly kill some /b/tard, even if I used to be one of them. World is a better place without them.
