The best way to deal with criminals is overwhelming force and if the only decent non-lethal option (batons) isn't allowed to be used in the same effective way that it used to be used (braining them with the baton and knocking them out cold) then guns are the only legitimate option. Tasers are a joke and they barely work, pepper spray is shit, and those beanbag shotguns are stupid as well, so if you aren't allowed to brain criminals with a baton then shooting them is the only option.
If you're robbing a store with a gun though then you should probably die anyway. I have no sympathy for these people and the limp-wristed European tactics for handling a situation like >>52708049 would likely just end in a long hostage stand-off and possibly the death of the innocent hostages. It's far better to do what they did and just go in guns blazing and kill the degenerate bastards.
