well basically "wanting kids" is proportional to security, the more you earns the more she want kids.
older generation takes their parents and ancestors seriously and we're growing up around that, so yeah, we tend to have lots of kid because of that.
chinese wife wouldn't mind too much about earnings, but they do extremely obsessed by their counterpart's effort, to the point they usually have a knack to see a suitable suitor in just by simple observation.
chinese parents also don't want them to mix ethnicities, the concept of family is kinda important, eventhough its not uncommon to stab each other in the back, its still considered extremely blasphemous to deny your heritage.
