> a fucking leaf
> Greco-Roman architecture because WE WUZ EMPERORS
> a fat eagle

>>52696886
>tfw those fucking fat eagles are everywhere here
REEEEEEEEEEEEEE
i like my country's coins. Gimme a moment to find pics of more unique ones.
>>52697056
the old ones were better
>Kriváň mountain
>Bratislava castle
>A double cross standing on three peaks (our coat of arms)
Ours have our presidents on the front and whatever on the back. They used to have native americans on the front, or symbolic fictional people like lady liberty and others.
>>52696886
>no Mark anymore
So many variations of coins in the UK.
>a fucking castle
>a fucking tower
>a fucking amphitheater
>a fucking Botticelli
>a fucking Boccioni
>a fucking Marcus Aurelius
>a fucking Vitruvian man
>a fucking Dante
>>52697094
£2 coin to commemorate 100 years since the first world war
>>52697190
Your coins are pretty much the heaviest and polands the lightest from my experience
>>52697190
What's the exchange rate between pounds and guineas
>>52697190
Ours have almost always been the same size and only changed sizes when the value of the metal they're made with changed.
Our pennies used to be huge
>>52697225
Vitruvian Man and Dante are based though
>>52697225
The Leonardo and Dante coins are GOAT desu
>a roman/greek god or whatever
>a bald guy with a big mustache
>alberto barbosa
>albert einstein in a horse
>jesus
lowers than 50 come in niquel too
>>52696886
So did the Third Reich ruin the eagle for you guys or something? That's the most bloated, pussified eagle I've ever seen as a national emblem. What a joke
we're getting some new coins next year.
I've got one of these
Are vintage coins worth a lot in europe?
>>52697368
>a fucking skull
is this real?
>>52696886
>j
pretty much eagle everywhere
>>52697157
I wish we had more interesting currency. Can you imagine the wails of cultural appropriation if we tried to put an Indian on our coins today?
>>52697361
> So did the Third Reich ruin the eagle for you guys or something?
No, picture is the eagle used on official documents. The one on the coin is probably based on the one hanging in the Bundestag, usually referred to as "Fette Henne" (fat hen).
>>52697412
>vintage coin
>its an american coin
in europe its worth jack shit plus what you call vintage coin is pretty new in european terms
>>52697412
> 1851
you get 1 or 2 euros for that but that's it
>>52697418
yep, shakespeare mate
I wonder how long it'll take for more "politically correct" versions to appear, i.e. oak leaves replaced by olive, Brandenburg Gate by some mosque and eagle by some desert rat
>>52697437
In addition to that, I wish they'd make coins with actual value. It would really benefit the blind and stay in circulation longer.
Probably won't happen because then the fed and the big banks can't manipulate our currency as easily.
>>52697617
That's not gonna happen, stop acting like a cuckold.
>>52697541
>>52697570
In the USA a 1851 penny in that condition is worth ~$75
>>52697252
1:1 ya filthy yank.
>>52697255
Post-decimalisation the only change I remember is the 5 pences became smaller.
They always come up with something new to put on the reverse (tails) of the 50p, £1 and £2 coins though. The pound coin originally only had a few variations for each country in the UK. Now there's probably nearly 30 or 40 different ones for each of those coins.
Also Isle of Man has coins that are slightly different. And Jersey too I think. Who knows if the UK overseas possessions do.
Then there's the different Scottish and N. Irish notes... but that's for a different thread.
>>52697746
Ours have been the same sizes since the civil war
>>52697368
those look GOAT tier desu
>>52697672
>1851
Once again not that old in european terms
And its not european so its not worth as mutch to an european
There is a change machine at work that gives out bresidential dollar coins.
>the Nixon coin comes out next year.
>>52697672
Apparently it's 55€ here. I thought they were worth much less.
>>52696886
not bad but drachma was better
>>52697857
>tfw coin currency will never take off in the US
So long as they print the $1 and 5 people just won't use them
>>52697839
>>52697899
The USA was a lot less populated back then so they minted a lot less currency. Plus there's a lot of collectors and whenever the government phases out a series they collect them and melt them down into new coins
>>52697983
To paraphrase Bill Clinton, I feel your pain.
>Marianne
>the sower (female)
>liberté égalité fraternité + liberty tree
>>52698146
>>52698146
We fascist now
We also have ebin state-based coins, one coming out per year since 2006.
>>52698146

>>52698276
its a symbol of authority used by the romans aswell..
>>52697437
>Can you imagine the wails of cultural appropriation if we tried to put an Indian on our coins today?
? I cannot only imagine it, I have one right here
>>52697746
as far as i know all UK overseas territories have uniques mintage. I have a few coins from Guernsey, Gibraltar, Isle of Mann, and Jersey
>>52698445
I was thinking of the Buffalo Nickel. It's not commemorating a tribe or person. It's just a caricature of an Indian
Ours are somewhat boring but okay I guess
>What kinda state coin you want senpai?
>Just put a map of the state on it
>Gotchyu senpai
>>52698618
> coins with holes
a few years ago it was a trend in and around Flensburg to have Danish krone coins woven into your shoelaces
>>52698618
The hole in the middle seems really practical tbf.
Cougar, Rhea, Capybara and Armadillo
breddy cute
>>52696886
we had one commetorating ribbentrop-molotov, with hakenkreuz and hammer & sickle
no joking
>>52698681
>>52698697
I've never seen anyone doing anything with those coin holes. I think that they are only there to make counterfeiting harder
>>52698618
>ring coins
neat
This one is commemorative for the bimillennium of Augustus's death.
>>52696886
Definitive proof that leafs are lame if the Germans actually thought it was cool and put it on their coins.
>>52698588
By my imho, that mason artifactum thing saing as hint: "We (gringo) was killed many buffalo. How much buffalo now, so much redskins now", and any Indian shall be angry if understanding that hint.
>>52698874
Why do you celebrate this asshole?
>>52698588
Also value. 1. So near to zero.
>>52698945
rude, eh was a pretty cool guy, eh make empire and doesn't afraid of anything
>>52698845
Well I meant more that you could feel the cents more easily. With the euro cents you sometimes have to look well to make sure you've got the right one.
>>52697746
>1:1 ya filthy yank
How, aren't Guineas made of gold?
>>52699001
Yeah that makes sense. We actually had a 1/2 krone coin up until pretty recently and it didn't happen to have a hole in it
>>52698945
WE WUZ ROMANS
we should print some sarmatian, celtic or gothic monies too
>>52697094
Why Don't you use quarters
>>52699090
Who do bongs use two faucets? Nobody knows
>>52698997
>cool
an opportunistic dick, could restore order but cucked the senate
>>52699143
>disliking the principate
from Sulla onwards it was only a matter of time before someone like Caesar took power with force, the principate/empire was probably going to happen anyway
>>52699076
>we wuzn't anything so no one gets to wuz sumthin
nice try ptzxryzyxxyty
>>52699221
fuck sulla, fuck marius, fuuuuuuck them
>>52699090
How are you supposed to divvy up a quarter into 3 pence when the Pennylord only hands out 1/6 half farthings at minimum, and it's just frankly more convenient to carry around a few extra shillings for all the trouble?
>>52699250
They chucked Russia for hundreds of years. The Russians learned their ways from the poles
My favorite one, mainly because the other coins just have numbers lol
>>52699250
just joking antonio XD
it would made as much sense from our side as french being muh celts
>>52699545
Sure thing, but Augustus was a bit more important than some random unknown celts, goths, etc...
France could perhaps put Brennus on some coins.
>>52699621
I dont think france was even a thing before clovis
>>52699722
They always banter with him, they are still Gaul at heart...
>>52697967
>I know! I'll put a coin inside of coin
>That way, I have infinite coin, no worry of bankrupt ever
>I am of genius!
>>52698835
could you find a picture?
>not having functional coins
>>52702837
> a fucking harp
I thought you cucked the Irish and not vice versa
>>52702955
Yes, rulers would put the symbols of territory or things they had claims to on their COA.
The harp still represents Norn Ire.
>>52702837
fucking nice
I'll impress a friend with that someday
GOAT as fuck if you ask me
Three legged buffalo nickel
Old coins were GOAT. New third-series coins are just rubbish.
since nobody else has posted our funny money, I will
50 cent coins aren't very common; the mint stopped producing 1 cent coins a few years ago and now we're just rounding instead
>>52703607
>queen's head on the money
good good la
>>52702837
The outer rings of our coins are part of the Aztec Calendar
