1. Your city
2. How easy is it to live without a car?
>>
>>52663664
Easy, everyone has a bike anyways in a country of 17 million people and 18 million bikes.
>>
Toronto
Literally never needed a car, especially since Parkbus started up
>>
Sarasota
Impossible
>>
a pain in the ass
>>
Curitiba.

Decent, as long as you know how to move around with the bus system and don't mind overcrowding at peak times.

It used to be wonderful, though... stuff is decaying.

I am a 30 year old how makes more than most Irish families and I dont know how to drive.

Pretty easy and much cheaper.
>>
>>52663705
Any good parts of the city which you realistically reach?
>>
>>52663748
*can't reach
>>
>>52663748
No, not really you can pretty much go anywhere where you can go with a car, but cycling is a bit more work especially if you have to cycle up a hill.
>>
Grand Rapids Michigan
the bus system here is really inconsistent and they don't even run at nights. A car is pretty much manditory.
>>
Greater Toronto Area

Easy. There are stores on every block to buy stuff and apply for work
>>

helsinki
very, it would be a bitch trying to find parking or even long time storage. even if i had a car i wouldn't use it for daily commute as i live right above a subway station
>>
>>52663664
Rio de Janeiro
Easy. I have everything i need (gym, supermarket, shopping mall, plenty of restaurants, subway, etc etc) nearby and I can access all the cities either from the subway or buses that stop around here.
>>
>>52665559
all the city*
>>
Vancouver: easy as fuck, cheaper to run transit than own a car as long as you live along or near a major route
>>
Cycle, bus, taxi.

Don't seem to need anything else.

Tokyo.
Car is useless.
The parking and taxes are quite expensive .
Trains are always on time . We can go everywhere in Tokyo by train.
>>
Chicago.

It helps but is not needed

cars cost as much as a house over here. your automatically considered upper middle class if you even own any sort of four wheel drive.

The government encourages everyone to go public and getting to places can be relatively easy if your not in a hurry

Bend, Oregon
Pretty easy I guess? Busses run during the day and I can bike around for the most part, not that big of a town. I own a car though because if I travel elsewhere I'd rather not be held to intercity public transit times
>>
Auckland, NZ
no public transport to talk about
so no options
>>
>>52665927
I'd imagine you guys have the money for it so why isn't it done? Just no interest? I'd imagine gasoline isn't cheap in New Zealand but I could be wrong.

St Louis Missouri
Totally impossible
