Not all people need to use shampoo every day. People have different oils and bacteria in their hair, climate, exposure do dirt, water contaminents etc. I shampoo my hair every two days, if I shampoo'd it less I would have big problems with dandruff, if I shampoo'd it more my scalp would dry out and turn red.
I only do a courtesy shampoo before I get a haircut

Different things work for different people but I'd suggest shampoo with nizoral (head&shoulders), tea tree oil or something gentle without SLS. But I'd see a doctor first.
