Okay listen here you cheeky fucking cunt. Beans on toast is unironically delicious, if you're poor especially so. Don't knock it 'till you've tried it, mate. Also, cornish pasties are like a whole meal in one convenient pastry

tell me more about beans on toast. Is british canned beans sweet like the american one?
>>
>>52656839
Spics eat beans on flatbread.
>>
Do people make their own black pudding or do most just buy it at the butcher?
>>
>>52657154
American beans have the maple and ham flavor

British beans aren't sweet like ours. I asked the same thing cause the thought of American baked beans on toast sounds rank but I can't speak for Brit beans

British cuisine is based around pastries and breads and slow cooked roasts/braises.

typical british dishes would be sheppard's pie/cottage pie, beef wellington, onion and steak sandwiches, roasted pork with apple, chicken/rabbit/pork/beef/etc pie, scones, etc

there is a lot of mustard and butter and sugar and flour in british cooking.

it's not as bitter or complex as continental european cooking, and there are a lot of bland british dishes, but there are some really good ones too.

>Is british canned beans sweet like the american one?
Nope. It was a bit of a shock when my mum did me some beans when we moved to the US.

Good thing we don't count as Anglos...

Looks like poor's man food, but not in a bad way... simple, cheap, nourishing, hearty... memes weren't real after all...

>>52657246
does anyone make their own beans, or always buy it canned? I like it, but can't find it here.. I looked for a recipe for a while without success

>>52657528
what is it seasoned wiht?
>>
>>52657594
Fuck
I was such a fussy eater when I lived in the US. Even then, my parents weren't that adventurous and we mainly stuck with chain restaurants like Chilli's, Macaroni Grill and a chain of steakhouses in our city
If I had the money, I would go back for two weeks and eat like a pig for the whole time
>>
>>52657594
is that salt on top? isnt it a bit much?
>>
>>52655692
BBQ
>>
>>52657727
Well I'm not britbong but their food is pretty interesting, pies like fish pie and apple pie... and well probably every meat you could stick into it for example really were popular in the past because they could be preserved for that much longer and it stuck.
>>
>>52657727
Yeah, British cuisine is mostly regarded as simple because the courts of the time didn't bother asking for more complex or refined dishes from their national cooks, they asked for French cooks, cooking French dishes instead.
One very boring but if anything complete book to read about this and more is Feast: A History of Grand Eating, Roy Strong (2003).

British food is delicious. Now go squat over an egg in your commieblock Pawel Rzczszdzrzsky and hope it hatches into something you can eat.
>>

>Does anyone make their own beans
No. Everyone buys them in cans
>What is it seasoned with
Usually nothing. I like a bit of hot sauce on mine
