German is going to be very useful in the future since its economy is very big for European measures. Meanwhile, the number of people learning this language is rapidly declining. Dutch government has set up a campaign for youngsters to learn the language since zeh Germans are our #1 trade partner.

Honestly Spanish is the sensible choice, but i can see why a European might pick French over it.
I don't see any benefit to German aside from niche specific economic reasons, but if you are going to work in Germany having the language is unlikely to get you the job.
