How? Well, I live in Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany. My mum is Italian, she thaught me Italian and German. I've earnt English and Danish at school and Spanish is easy as fuck if you know Italian. Maybe I'll start to learn Norwegian too.

It used to bother me and i wanted to learn a second language. So i spent time researching different languages to try and figure out which one i should try to learn. I got pretty in to learning 'about' different languages, their histories and structures and relationship to other languages.
Being a useless NEET i didn't really consider 'usefulness' of the language, i wanted to learn one just to know one, and if anything was looking for the one that i could most use to express myself.
After reading a lot, i came to the conclusion that english is actually the best language, and my time would be better spent just learning more about english.
If i could just instantly know any language though id pick greek, its the second best language, and its alphabet is actually better than the latin alphabet. English should use it i think.

Find some natives that you can write to/speak to frequently. Assuming your French is somewhat decent they'll correct you when you make mistakes. If your French is terrible and you make mistakes constantly no one will bother to correct you so you should improve a bit more in that case.
