It's MMXV common era. People don't celebrate the birthday of a crucified rabbi anymore.
To include those who may not celebrate Christmas we should say "Happy Holidays". I, for example, celebrate the winter solstice, and not a Christianised pagan holiday known as "Christ's Mass". I would find "Merry Christmas" offensive and oppressive as a Christian-normative greeting that doesn't consider people, like myself, who choose to celebrate different holidays.
If you celebrate Christmas, good for you, but don't oppress me by insinuating that my holidays are lesser, and that holidays of others of different faith traditions aside from Gegorian Western Christianity are lesser. Please, be considerate and inclusive of others.
