Yes, it's a country with a lot of economic potential and it can project more force to the middle east than any other country right now. If they wanted to they could probably do the same for other nearby regions as well. The only concern is that they're too brash, the most recent example of which is Russia. They need to be smart about their relations because they're still not powerful enough to not give a fuck
