There is no endgame. He walks a narrow path with no variations.

There is a stupid prison joke, which sounds like "You float on a parachute, to the left you see a forest of dicks, to the right - an ocean of shit. Where do you land?". Putin is that kind of floater. He has no choice but to do stuff to please bydlo with aggressive moves so that the vote for him again and we have some hope for the future.

I'm not justifying his moves, only explaining what is happening.

It's possible but not under Putin. For him post-Soviet borders are sacred. He only annexed Crimea out of impotent rage when Americans cucked him hard in ukraine, it was emotional step and not a part of strategy.
But yeah if we will ever have nationalists in power who will refuse to respect post-soviet borders it's possible. All post USSR states are really weak and giving credit to Putin he buffed our army. But as times goes on it will be progressively harder to do.

If Europe is a British Public school, then Russia is the plucky working-class kid who wanted to fit in with the lads, before he got the old dodgy buggering.

No cheeky fun reveling in lewd jokes for this soon to be a hard cunt. He wants to fit in so he develops a keen interest in sports and study to try and erase his class distinction. He intimidates his roommates, is a charismatic leader of unintelligent goons that he uses for his own ends. He threatens the smelly foreign kid and regularly attacks a former lackey, who was unfortunate enough to disobey his orders.

He grows dominant but remains unaccepted. Force and cunning don't interest the elite pupils from the most prestigious families. They turn their nose to him, call him a brute, and a simpleton. He remains calm when they say this but inside he chomping at the bit to prove them wrong. He works harder, becomes craftier. He tries to impress them with his cultural tastes, and ability to woo women

The other boys sense the ruse. They know he was buggered, and that he tends to steer clear of the more outwardly homosexual pupils because he is afraid they might 'turn' him. They know his dominance is that of a strong-armed bully, not a principled leader. His very nature makes him unable to obtain the only thing he wanted, acceptance.

To cope with rejection, he drinks, he drugs, he commits more violence, and eventually has to decide to become a villain or to end it all. So full of life and potential, the working class boy then becomes an isolated shell of a person, his emotionless and mechanical manner secretly hiding a soul diseased with despair and self-hate. No one can really know what this soul will bear on the world, but it spells disaster either for his opponents or himself.

tl;dr Russia wanted to be European since forever. Got rejected. Turned into violent psychos because secretly gay. Create unsustainable violent culture to hide depression and hunger for Eurodicks/acceptance.

>>52503905
I agree and disagree. I think the lawful evil guys (Romanov's and advisors) were corrupt and impotent, and lost against real concern.

Lenin's government was more effective than the provisional one, even with foreign interference, and the ideas on paper and in the early going worked and made sense. However, he straight up lied to people about dissolving the state.

Just an opinion, but I think you lost chances at keeping that system and being part of Europe three times: Stalin's initial power struggle crushing the Left Opposition, isolationist one country policy, and BTFO of Hungary in 1956

I have one Russian colleague at university, we hang out from time to time. He told me about Russian endgame, its survival.

He told me that Russia is actually quite tiny and exposed. There is this thing called "Russian core" where basically 99% of everything important is in Russia. West to the Ural mountains, north to the Caucasus mountains and black sea, that area. Entire industry and everything, all located there. Its also extremely exposed. And now when you take into account Russia is commanded by actual cold war veterans, its easy to see why they are so defensive about everything.
They also have interest in making sure Asia-Europe route never connects in Caucasus, because then they would not be able to control the land and sea trade that goes on over there.
About Black sea navy, its purely symbolic and nothing else, it means nothing to them.

So this guy explains it to me like that: Russian core is very exposed and Putin and friends are cold war veterans. They feel like they must protect it, make sure Asia-Europe land trade never happens so it must continue through Russia, fight and not succumb to NATO encirclement, dismantle missile 'shields' pointing towards the Russian core, and survive as a country.
Ukraine and Turkey are purely symbolic and do not represent any huge national interest.

>russia would be the largest member state. you'd have a giant say in things.
And why would EU member states want that? Both small which are paranoid about Russia and big which don't want to share.
Putin circled the whole Europe during his first term, speaking german in bundestag, drinking beer with Blair and what not. he was told "you're nice guy Vlad, we like you but it's to soon even to talk about EU membership program for Russia let alone do something. Come back next century maybe we will figure something out".
Eurasian integration is just a desperation move, atempt not to be completely alone.

If you cant build giant rockets, it means your country is under occupation.

Think about it. Whole of EU. None of them can build giant rockets like Best Korea and Russia can. To not have giant rockets = to be cucked. If USA one day said "ok you have to give me absolutely every single thing of value you have, including your organs" only thing EU could say is "yeah sure", coz no giant rockets.
EU and NATO countries will for ever be unable to militarize, and will for ever be unable to pursue their own national interests.

Basically USA national interests come before your own. In your own country.

>None of them can build giant rockets like Best Korea and Russia can.
Well, it doesn't help Russians with pic related. Being independent means something more than simple dick waveing contest - it means shit when all your economy depends on one commodity, although, of course, nukes and stuff still are extremely important.

>but we got teh shiny newest iphone!!!
A nation that cant pursue its own national interests, isnt really a true, sovereign, nation. Its a collective of servile peasants.

>>52506368
>and how would USA come to collect
By making it the most rational and reasonable course of action for you. Say they demand a tiny bit, and threaten you with total annihilation. Sure, you give them the tiny bit. Repeat tomorrow again. Till there is nothing else.

At the end of the day, they (non servile nations, with giant rockets) can always split EU just like Hitler and Stalin split Poland. What are you going to do about it? Get hit by a giant rocket?
Its what they call a 'checkmate'.

True, but if the choice is between being an American or a Russian vassal, (and for us at least it is) I know which one I would choose every time

Yeah, that's not even a weapon. I mean even I know that much, and I dont know shit about weapons. All edgyness aside, having your own weapons, is of extreme importance, and an integral part of being a sovereign nation, and of highest importance when it comes to having borders that mean something and that you can defend and enforce.

>>52506601
How can one nation pursue its national interests, without giant rockets? I just dont get it. Sure, there are secondary, short term, politics ways. Like backing the right guy. But that is always secondary to actually being the right guy.

All of trade and politics and soft power and circlejerking and unions and solidarity and friendships and joining this and signing that, all of it means nothing once giant rockets start to fly.

Basically, tomorrow, the world might go bad.
We use more and more oil, while our most productive oil wells go more and more dry.
There are more and more mouth to feed, and 1/3 of all arable land is going bad. There's also global warming, dont even know how that affects stuff, but its probably bad, right?

USA and Russia and China (and even Best Korea lmoa) can just say to the rest of the world: "hey listen, stuff is very bad, hand over everything of value (like food, not currency) or die" and basically they survive.

>there are seriously countries out there without giant rockets
Jesus Christ we are all so fucked.

Bullshit, Putin IS his ratings
Russia is a flawed democracy, like S.Korea of early 70es, or Any post-Soviet EE counrty in late 90es, but it's still a democracy

And if Putin knows anything about history, and I'm sure they taught ome in KGB school, he doesn't want to upset the angry Russian mob

once Putin shows weakness or Russians start blaming the govt for their troubles, he knows he's heading for an unpleasant ending, and so is his family.

That's why he hides his family, not from CIA, he just doesn't want Putins to be the new Romanovs
>>

USSR tried to take all of Finland in 1939 and failed regardless of what your propaganda says.

>Funny that some people in the west actually deny it.
If Western countries are occupied/controlled by the US how was Germany and France able to oppose America by staying out of the Iraq war with France even threatening to veto an American UN resolution?

And how was De Gaulle able to kick American forces out of France and make France leave NATO?

Also when Reagan wanted to bomb Gaddafi none of the continental European powers allowed him to use their airspace to do it and he had to go to boot licking Thatcher to do it.

The reality is that western European countries aren't forced to side with the US on anything and can oppose them if they want to.

As for nor Russia seems to be unable to take Eastern Ukraine, so this is how your theory works is the real world. Of course you are partially right, but it's all a little bit more complicated - let's say N. Korea uses one of their nukes in Seoul (ot Russia in Kiev) and then what?

You meant missiles then ? Then European nations have plenty of them and even joint-operation. While dwarfed in sized compared to the big two we have enough of a nuclear Arsenal to stand on our own.

You can hit with a JASSM-ER from Finland to Moscow so big rockets aren't needed.

But USSR take some lands by peace deal. And USSR would try again if not for the US. You example is incorrect.

being poor as fuck while putin and his friends are superreach, living in a dilapidating dirty corrupt shithole is not russian national interests, I bet.

I saw something about Russia entering EU. Lemme just put down some thoughts.

Recent events:
Crimea - Would be a huge factor in the ordeal. Concessions will have to be made in order for discussion even begins.
Germam-Russian gasline - Since the Minsk treaty isnt resolved, EU prolonged the embargo vs Russia until upcoming summer. Germany agreed with gazprom on the consrruction of this pipeline. A nice straw for the ruskies to hold on.
Russian support Assad- Huge dealbreaker

General:
-Human rights in Russia, most certainly a dealbreaker
-Currency: I doubt Russia wants to convert to Euro with the current rates (Roebels suck atm)
-military: huge pro
International trade: not so much. Usa is a great trade partner and russia entering eu would disrupt that

Honestly, in whole of western Europe (and in eastern as well), there is only one true sovereign nation, and that's Switzerland.

More bunkers then families? Check.
Military installation in literally every mountain? Check.
Having a navy even tho its landlocked, to defend its lakes? Check.
Guns everywhere? Check.
Mandatory standing on borders and looking tough for all citizens? Check.

They are also wealthy, but wealth is irrelevant. Being wealthy doesnt mean being happy, and being wealthy is almost meaningless in survival scenarios, how many wealthy states disappeared over night just in European histories.. also during sieges in medieval times, wealthy ones traded all of their trinkets for rat meats and starved just like the poor, while thieves and other such people survived..

Survival of western countries is severely compromised. In a worst case scenario (lack of oil or arable land, which is getting more and more likely with every passing day), you cant rely only on politics.

>>
>>52507617
Economy and politics are soft/false defenses and Europe didnt have 100 years without some sort of a super massive bloodshed.

Fact: we use more and more of oil and there's less and less of it.
Fact: there's more and more mouths to feed and less and less arable land.

When inevitable happens, only giant rocket countries will be able to survive.

Tbh I think a nation the size of Russia can only be ruled autocratically. With the exception of the 1917 provisional government and maybe some of the later communists Russia has been under autocratic rule for like 400 years or some shit

Just divide it up

They need or at least needed novorossiya to keep Ukraine and rest of the world distracted about Crimea. Now that takeover of Crimea is becoming de facto accepted thing novorossiya is irrelevant.

Bullshit our propaganda makes up. Our country is mostly russian inhabited, only a few areas actually need special treatment which they already recieve, so why the hell would anyone need autocracy? I think Russians are just not ready to take responsibility of their state and lives yet. Once they grow up autocracy will have to go.
