Daily reminder that Canada out men on the moon
>best ally Tbh
After their PM, Diefenbaker, clised the Avro program, he "loaned" a couple dozen Brit and Canadian scientists to NASA. These men formed the core of what is now called NASA's Johnson Space Center. One of them, an Ontarion native named Owen Maynard designed the lunar lander that put men on the moon.
Thanks Canada

The Wright Brother's plane required a catapult to fly a few feet, Dumont's plane was the same as modern aircraft, it flew entirely under its own propulsion, and farther.
It comes down to whether or not you consider being slingshoted into the air and only then having your engine take over, count as flight.
Either way, Dumont and the Wrights were early pioneers of heavier than air flight and derserve laurels for their contributions.
