Older people celebrate it with their families.
They eat Russian salad (a salad of mixed diced vegetables with mayonnaise.), drink champagne and watch New Year's TV-shows.
Young people prefer to go to the main square, where the Christmas tree is, and get drunk, or to celebrate with other youth throwing a party in their friend's apartment while their parents are away celebrating with other older people
