Have you ever visited overseas territories? How are they?
>>52458223
Been to French Guyana for 2 weeks training with the legion.
In a few words:
>Green hell
>niggers
>poor as fuck compared to mainland
>illegal hues
And legionnaires are nuts.
Poor, and leeching an infinite amount of monies to try to make them less poor than the average of the region they're in.
>not inculding Terre Adélie
I'm thoroughly triggered.
shit

I have ever visited Okinawa.
There is pretty nice,
>>52458332
Yes to Curacao
It was pretty fun, but literally felt like a multiculti Dutch city with a nicer climate
Can britts comment on their territories aswell? Do they feel the same way as french about their territories?
>>52458223
I was on Mallorca once. It was nice.
Helgoland isn't that bad too.
I have been to Reunion.
It's a gorgeous island, it's a multicultural island with Western, Indian, Chinese and African cultures. There's a huge dichotomy between the rich and poor. Rich people have big houses and live well, poor people are very poor, there is no right middle. There are a lot of pensioners from France.

>Okinawa
>implying it's not a U.S. overseas territory
I have never been even in åland ;__;
Hawaii is pretty much like the mainland, more ethnic obviously. Saipan and American Samoa similarly ethnic, and much poorer.

I've been to Akrotiri. Didn't go inside the base, just wandered round the lagoons and had lunch at a restaurant by the beach.
>>52458486
>>52459972
Oh and I've been to Grand Cayman too - bought some cigars, had some drinks. It didn't seem particularly British.
>>52458223
I've been to Guadeloupe and Réunion
Guadeloupe is beautiful but cities are very poor and a lot of people don't like whites
Réunion is even more beautiful and less poor (although still high as fuck unemployment), food is god tier and it feels much bigger than Guadeloupe because it's mountainous
Do people born in overseas territories have a special passport, or do they get a normal French/British one ?
As far as I know they get a normal French one, at least in the territories with the same status as metropolitan France (Réunion, French Guiana, Mayotte, Martinique and Guadeloupe are considered French just like Provence or Paris)
However it may be different for the rest of the territories but I don't think so, we (mainland) French don't need passports to travel to them and they don't need any to come to Europe
>>52461248
Meant for you >>52461248 obviously
>>52460863
They are fully french citizen and have the same right.
>>52461289
>tfw can't even make a proper post
>>52461248
So they're part of the schengen area? Cool, so I can travel to them pass-free.
>>52461421
No they are not in the schengen area.
>>52461421
No they're not, they're part of the European Union (the five I mentionned) tho
When I said they don't need passports to come to Europe I meant to come to France, however from France they could go wherever they want in Europe anyway
I went to French Guyana once, Cayenne and Kourou and holy fuck...
Do the Canary Islands count as oversea territory? Because I live there.
>>52462009
Don't know about Canary islands and Spain, but here is the map how works the relation between EU and the different overseas territory.
>>52462009
Yeah I guess so I don't see the difference between them and other countries' overseas territories
They're pretty close to Spain but that doesn't matter
