If you want to live in Europe in general then the Netherlands is a good choice, as you'll get lots of vacations and vacation money here and it's really easy to explore Europe from the Netherlands. It's a country where everything just works.
Personally I'd pick a warmer country. And you will have trouble fitting in if you don't speak Dutch and actively socialize. Because Dutch people do not look for friends themselves and a language barrier makes it even harder.

The fact that we speak with American accents does not detract from our English proficiency. It's the way the majority of native English speakers talk, and you should learn to accept that your backwater dialect is not really the standard anymore.
