What are some holidays where you live, /int/?
This list doesn't mention Carnaval and a few other Christian holidays such as Corpus Christi and the Wednesday of Ashes, probably because they're more than a single day off work. The greatest contribution of Christianity to mankind was pointless holidays.
We celebrate La Cabane a Sucre here, where we celebrate the creation of maple syrup by warming it up and pouring it over snow.
Then we grab sticks and roll them in the syrup-snow until they turn into snowy syrup lollipops. While we eat them we sing french-Canadian logging songs.

Is the creation of maple syrup really a holiday where you live? That's something I'd say as a joke about your stereotype.

Yeah, I've seen the movie. Thanks for saving the world, America. I don't get the "the aliens were brits" joke though.
