To be honest, it's a sign that the people are truly in power in Turkey.
Secularism and western mindset in ME has always been restricted to the elite. When they were in power, the capital of a ME country would often appear very western. Like Kabul in the 70'.
I see it as a sign of democracy, that the islamist, backwards, goatfucking and hateful tendencies of the ME population is now reflected in their government.
