Did it dawn on you that there is no connection to draw from our tightened gun laws? We didn't have any school shootings prior to those either, despite having VERY lax gun laws since the Grand Duchy-era until 1997 (and arguably up until 2011). Lax gun laws have a longer proven track record.

Our murder rate didn't go down after we legislated our "modern" gun law. The crime rate didn't go down. Society didn't actually improve - at all.
