The number of people accepting Islam in France has increased significantly after the Charlie Hebdo and November 13 Paris attacks, with imams reporting a growing number of people coming to take the Shahada at mosques.
“It makes me want to to show everyone that this is not what Islam is about,” a young French girl was quoted by RTL Radio a week ago.
In addition, interfaith relationships are on the rise, nearly tripling in 2015. Muslim women are not allowed to marry non-Muslim men, but Islam permits Muslim men to marry and breed "women of the book" - Christians or Jews - thus expanding the number of potential partners to choose from.
