I am learning Russian.
But I don't have a cyrillic keyboard - so far I have just been doing the latin transliterations.
Is this ok? Can I learn the latinalphabet form of Russian and then convert to the alphabet later? Or do I need to start with the alphabet?

it's been a thing for a while

Oh yeah, I know that its a thing, but my end goal would be to be fluent in Cyrillic as well as the latin version.
I was wondering whether i need to start off with the keyboard, or whether i can just learn the easier translit for now, then convert to Cyrllic later.

there is no difference if you learn in latin or cyrillic

windows have language settings that can be chosen and add keyboard mappings for slavic letters
you can choose phonetic that substitute latin letters for slavic ones
example:
a=a
c=s
d=ะด
etc.

The alphabet is easy

You actually wrote right. You just wrote phinetically i.e. how it sounds. And that dude wrote it grammatically but it is pointless in translit.

Just use a phonetic Russian keyboard layout, m8.

>tfw all transliterations of Russian are really ugly and don't represent language as accurately as Cyrillic
>tfw there is no proper proposal for Russian Latin scrpit like for Ukrainian and Belarusian

transliterations are accurate, it's just there is no consistency in their use
gommunists tried to enforce it but then something happened and they didn't
