When did your country start using it? Did it change anything noticeably? Are you happy or unhappy about it? Do you think it's a bad idea for a country to use a currency that can't be self regulated?

Can't say, because I was too young when we used francs, tho we don't control the value of the euro so I'm kinda against it

It basically made us even more export-focussed and has boosted wealth inequality. Now the DM was usually quite strong, which forced companies also to look at the internal market and demand. But real wages have been stagnating ever since the 1990s, partially even decreasing, while productivity has gone up considerably, so overall it only made the rich richer

in 2002, prices skyrocketed things you could buy with 10 dracmes 0.0293 of the euro were costed at 0.10 of the euro
Sweden voted no to it when I was a teen and now it seems very unlikely that we will join the Eurozone within the foreseeable future.

I think in general, Euro is a great idea, but if you have a central currency you also need a central fiscal policy, to keep things like Greek crisis from happening

We also voted about joining the EU in 1994. The referendums aren't binding but generally respected.

It's been a disaster. Probably going to break down in five years. Although these things are surprisingly resilient.
In Finland they changed the laws on treason before joining the eurozone because their lies could have gotten them prosecuted.
Anyway, we are going to get a sovereign currency at one point, we'll just have to see how much pain Finns want before that.
