not american, but also have natives and reserves. long story short: most people rarely see natives, and how you deal with them depends on what reserve they come from. some are legit, some are not.

They have casionos now in my home state which generates good income for them. In general they have more of a chip on their shoulders than blacks and even less work ethic.
I live in the American Southwest in an area heavily populated by Native Americans. Most are okay....they are just like everybody else. Don't believe the stereotype that they are all drunks. Some are of course, but that's to be found in any segment of the population. There are some reservations farther north in the Dakotas where things are pretty bad.

there was a program a long time ago where they took native toddlers and forced them into society so then after sometime you get all kinds of backlash and blame so they stopped that

Majority, specially the younger ones, are marrying outside their race, so some tribes had big issues of how to classify the mixed kids, etc. But yea, I'm sure their culture or parts of it will continue on but not the same people.
