Is California as bad as the memes make it out to be? I went there once and wasn't impressed, smelled bad, the food and beaches were mediocre, and the people were passive aggressive as shit
California's a big place. Sounds like you went to SoCal. It's completely different than the Bay Area or way up north
Born in California, grew up here, have lived in several different parts of California both north and south...I love it here to be honest. You're probably just not used to the cultural differences and that's fine. I would probably hate living in the South or the Midwest but I'm sure the people there live happy lives.
>tfw you grew up in san diego

California is just like the movies/tropes/stereotypes and that's just how I like it.
>>52213301
Same brah. Where at?
I like it here, moderate weather, good food, beautiful nature, mostly nice people, only things that I don't really like are the cost of living is really high and gun laws are not the best.
>>52213473
i really dont like the people here
>>52213301
Like this fellas

I am from Ventura and I went down to San Diego once and someone I met told me their name, it was super simple like Jose Gutierrez or something but he actually walked me through spelling and pronouncing his name when I took down his information I was like wat we're in California you crazy SOB I know how to spell/say Gutierrez
tl:dr yeah San Diego is SUPER white, I was surprised

Clean, safe and white if you have money.
Sketchy, brown and black if you don't.
It's basically 50 years ahead of the US

locals only detected
yeah its like witnessing world peace that you know just isnt right and not ment to last
>>52213684
Yeah, you caught me
Short brown people everywhere.
Went out to eat when I was there and the waiter couldn't speak English, my friend had to order for me.
I felt far more out of place and not at home in California than any other place I've been, which includes most of Europe. I just didn't even look like most of the people, I'm tall/white/blond/blue eyed, at least 85% of the people were short, dark skin, dark/black hair, and black soulless eyes.
It depends on where you go. SoCal is dirty, The Bay Area would be nice if you gassed every human being there. The sierras and lake tahoe are the only place I would consider visiting.

>no big sur
senpai..

Hahahaha
That's pretty funny. I'm a white Californian and as a kid I was generally the only white kid around...I'm really used to everyone being short and brown. To me white people look kind of weird, actually. Where are you from?
