Going to the pub and downing a couple of beers is our culture and it's what I love about living here. Alcohol addiction is a problem, but it's usually not the young people who have the biggest problems. It's the 40 year old drinking themselves to death because they hate their life. That's the face of alcohol addiction. Young people can get addicted too though. My opinion is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with weed and a couple of other natural harmless drugs. Yeah no problem man. I'm 18 now and I've been here for years. I think only places like /b/, /pol/ and the ones with porn are 18+.
And that's the beauty of alcohol and some drugs, you do the things you never thought you could. I also almost never talk to girls but when I'm partying it's much more easier.
If you overdo it then yes, but if you are with people you trust there is nothing wrong with it. I would never get completely high with people I don't know but if you have even one friend you trust it's okay. You can't overdose on weed anyway so you could even try it alone in the safety of your home. Some drugs are harmless. Beer causes a lot more damage to your body and mind then a joint. You can be raped even if you are sober, anyways if you're a guy you don't have that much to worry about. But it's completely okay not to do drugs. I also absolutely love having a clear mind and this is why I almost never smoke when I am alone, I just like doing other things sober much more. But if I'm outside with people I don't really know how to talk to, then getting drunk/high helps massively and makes it more fun.
Overall though, do what you want man, just remember that the teenage years should be the most carefree years of your life.

I also used to judge people for drinking and I never understood why people do it but then I tried it, found out it's fun and in my opinion that's the most important thing. It doesn't matter what you do, whether it's chemistry or getting high (try chemistry after getting high) as long as you like doing it it's fine. And personally I don't like social events unless there is drinking or drugs involved, it definitely may sound sad but it's true for me.
