Look at the sign, it's 1466 kilometres, or 911 miles. Don't know why they call it 90 Mile Straight. We have a Ninety Mile Beach that's 55 miles long and WA has an Eighty Mile Beach that's 140 miles.

Srs. Not kidding at all. This is the only reason I haven't an heroed. Everything I do has to do with hiking/mountaineering goals.
I fucking run, lift weights, watch my diet, research, practice my orientation skills, and everything to be able to climb alone. Not looking to die, but if it comes at least it will not look suicidal.
Love the Andes.
>>52208620
tell me you didn't make that drive for the scenery in the first place.

New York trains are really good, actually. compared to the rest of the US we're far above anyone else. however, some places are still hard to connect. I'm sure it's the same as everywhere, and the way New York is spread out across three islands and the mainland means that we can't have a line that rings the whole city like others do. that impedes north-south traffic, especially in the outer boroughs. east-west is far easier and faster. it's geography in my situation rather than anything else.
however every other rail system in the US sucks, especially amtrak. I say this having been on the T, the metro, the L, the LA metro and light rail, the san diego trolley, and a few others.
>>52208897
Airplanes make sens since you are half a continent: the country
But with nowadays trains speed you could benefit from top of the line railways
>>52208903
good to know, we were stuck in traffic for six hours going home on the 5.
>>52208866
Our trains are shit compared to 1st world Europe and good compared to the 3rd world. They're probably really average if I had to guess.
