Opening hours got extended from 7-20 to 7-22 couple years ago but the sunday holiday still exists - you can not shop anywhere on a sunday.

No, opening hours are only restricted by costs. My local supermarket closes at 11PM though, small town etc.
Selling booze is restricted though, only allowed between 11AM and 6AM the following morning (the only exception to this rule is Stockholm International Airport, which has bars allowed to serve alcohol any time of day). Municipalities are allowed to further restrict the sale of alcohol though. In most towns, it is forbidden between 3 and 11AM, in Stockholm it's 5 to 11AM, in my puritan shithole of a town it's 2 to 11AM.

In bars, yeah. State monopoly store closes at 7PM Mon-Fri, and 4PM on Sat, closed Sundays. Fucking sucks. Also, no beer is refrigerated there, because the law says they are not allowed to "favor or promote certain products or brands", so if they wanted to sell refrigerated beer, they would have to refrigerate every single product in the store (including shit that's not supposed to be refrigerated, like red wine for example).
You can buy alcohol up to and below 3.5% ABV any time though, sold at 24/7 gas stations and such... not that you can really "drink" with it, per se, but some of the better brands does taste ok and is nice for bbq, sauna etc. The refrigeration thing doesn't apply for such drinks either.
