for some reason i think of it as the southern heartland. other than that, nothing.
I got deployed with the 180th engineer company out of Pohwatan(spelling?) Virginia.
The unit had something like 10 people get themselves injured before the deployment on purpose and another 4 people deserted the day they were suppose to report for duty.
Thus the IRR was called and they took me along with some other guys from Minnesota and North Dakota along with me(Wisconsin) to fill in the unit due to their lack of honor.
