Global intelligence firm Stratfor has published a new report featuring some chilling predictions for what the world will look like in the next 10 years.

Strategic Forecasting, Inc. — known as Stratfor — is an American publisher and global intelligence company founded in 1996 in Austin, Texas, by George Friedman, who was the company's chairman. Shea Morenz is president and chief executive officer. Fred Burton is Stratfor's vice president of intelligence.

Other executives include Chief Operating Officer Mark Ozdarski, a retired Navy SEAL officer who also has worked as an investment portfolio manager;[1] former U.S. Special Operations Command officer Bret Boyd, vice president of custom intelligence services;[2] and Editor-in-Chief David Judson.[3]

>rising naval power

But they already are in terms of technology, assets and overall tonnage
>>
>>52136460
Here is the inevitable;

Scotland will gain independence
Catalonia will gain independence
More war in the Middle East. Possibly in Yemen or God forbid Iran
Palestine will be shelled again (happens at least once a decade).

Very likely:
Brexit
Formation of an alternative EU, somethings OAS like.
Russia has another war in a border state or with some rebellious Muslims

Possible;
Civil war in Greece (they might be too lazy to fight though)
Other states leave the EU (eastern countries might stay in for the cash gains)
Ukraine finally gets into the sphere of Europe

Not going to happen;
Flanders gains independence
Québécois independence
Russian civil war (Russians enjoy corrupt government for the most part. They have for a thousand years)
Finland becomes relevant
>>
>>52141935
>But they already are in terms of technology, assets and overall tonnage
The Chinese have over double the tonnage, and (whatever about the state of their technology), their carriers will have at least a parity with Japan's power projection ability.

This reminds me of Japan's naval build-up before Pearl Harbour. What are the chances of a brief Sino-Japanese flair up within a decade?
>>
>>52142221
>Here is the inevitable;
>Scotland will gain independence
They voted no, Cody.

Yemen is already in war, and includes the Iranians and the Saudis.
>>
>>52142221
>Catalonia will gain independence
No.
>>
>>52142283
A no vote isn't permanent. The idea is still on the table

Also by war I meant western involvement. We're running out of viable countries to invade. It would be Iran and Yemen so far. Possibly Algeria

>A no vote isn't permanent.
London has no reason to allow another vote, they can point to the previous vote as proof of not needing a new one, e.g. "you can't keep having a referendum until it goes your way".

>I meant western involvement
The U.S. is supplying intelligence to the Arab Coalition, and it is very unlikely you will get directly involved. You're already bombing Syria and Iraq. If anything, you might get involved in Libya against IS (or Italy would).
>>
>>52142221
>Not going to happen;
>Russian civil war (Russians enjoy corrupt government for the most part. They have for a thousand years)
They also enjoy revolutions. Lets not forget that Russia had two bloody coups in the last 25 years - one successful and one unsuccessful.

Civil war might be a bit much, but some peripheral Russian provinces rebelling against the government after Putin's death is hardly impossible.

If there's a revolution in Russia it will be because Putin would have become too liberal for the majority of Russians, not because he's suppressing some fantasy liberal majority.
