I wonder btw, are no-asphalt-highways popular in Finland? I was driving to Oulu and my navigator lead me to such road. It was called a highway on the map but itbwas without asphalt. Imatra is a rather small city and Oulu isn't the center of Finland so it's quite natural that the roads between those two aren't the fanciest. 80km/h is the basic speed limit during winter, but during summer 100 is just as regular.

Finnish landscape is monotonous and boring, you must drive to the far north to the tundra and it gets pretty. The first 1100kms are very dull.

My family comes from the western Finland and during the Great Northern War, Finland was occupied by Russia and a shitton of people (mainly from my ancestors homelands) were butchered in what we now know as greater wrath https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland_during_the_Great_Northern_War . There were also the lesser wrath and other similar instances that have all culminated into generation after generation telling the stories of horror and thus the hate has begun.
