This flag had the biggest media coverage out of all other proposals but I think it was in 2000s.
It was made by famous Croatian designer who made lots of logos for Croatian companies and organizations.

I voted No, but in any case, the United Kingdom wouldn't have had to change its' flag - although Scotland could have, as the EU is not keen on religious symbols in flags.
So, the blue taken from the Saltire has been replaced with a black (I am pretty sure that the National Front used to have Union Jacks that were black instead of blue, but they could just have been a deep, dark, navy).

The English white dragon. according to welsh mythology this is was the flag of the Anglo-Saxons and therefore the original flag of the English, and it the flag of Harold Godwinson during his death scene in the Bayeaux tapestry depicting the Norman invasion of England.
There is no record of it after the Normans, however English knights during the crusades originally used a white cross on red, i think this may have a connection.
The colours were later reversed as the English pretty much swapped with the French,the red cross on white was used because Richard the Lionheart allegedly carried it to battle in honour of St George, who later became the patron saint of England (replacing Anglo-Saxon Edward the Confessor).
In recent years it has experienced a resurgence as a fringe English far right symbol, particularly those who stress a return to pre-Norman England and "pure" Anglo-Saxon identity in a similar fashion for example Turanists in Turkey.
