Used to live in a commieblock when i was a kid. The fewest memories that i have were the comfiest ones and when i visit my autie who lives in one of those is always comfy, she makes cookie and shit.

Commieblocks are indeed comfy, if you take car of it.

Decayed building means decayed wiring and pipes. Enjoy designated shitting streets.

(No, not really. But sometimes whole section of building is forced to cope with some Canadian on the top floor who is just making a comfy bathroom. But being Canadian he doesn't care for securing pipe outlet from random rubble falling in and it can take few hours before plumbers find and remove the blockage.)

How can Russia be third world on a geopolitical sense? We know why they're helping Assad, we know why they took Chechnya, we know why they took Crimea. A third world geopolitical country is an irrelevant country that has no power outside it's own borders, so Brazil fits in that definition very well.

>>52113605
Places you don't want to live =/= third world
Places you want to live =/= first world

You might not want to live in Turkey, but Turkey is one of the most geopolitically important countries on earth, at least 5 times more important than Brazil and Turkey was considered first world during the Cold War. Turkey still is considered first world by many.

Brazilians usually try to put Russia on the same level as Brazil for pride reasons.

Brazilians like to believe Brazil will one day have the 2nd strongest military on earth, the capability to make ICBMs, capability to send a man to space and capability to build nuclear submarines.

What Brazilians don't seem to understand is that the Russian SSR was part of the Soviet Union, which was the 2nd largest economy on earth in the 20th century and the 2nd superpower on earth.

Russia doesn't have a big divide amongst its people. Everyone more or less lives a similar lifestyle from a wealth perspective (apart from a small number of super rich people). In Brazil and SA, the country's wealth is only made up of a small percentage of the population, whilst the rest are dirt poor. There are lots of middle class/decent suburbs, but there's an equal amount of shockingly bad areas, and there isn't much in between.
>>
>>52114535
I meant to add, Russia's wealth is distributed more equally amongst its people compared to SA/Brazil

Not true at all. Most ICBMs use solid rocket boosters as well as most military missiles.

These moves are designed to contain, or at least delay you in the long run.

And the key isn't just ICBMs, it's military satellite navigation. In any time of war we can shut off our GPS system in a region and watch all your GPS guided missiles and equipment become paperweights. Then you'll be fighting us as if it is 1942.

The only way to beat the satellite guidance systems is to develop your own and develop military links that can avoid jamming.

US has GPS. Russia has GloNASS. EU has Galileo. China has Beidou. India is developing IRNSS to be finished by 2017.

If you can setup a satellite system in LEO, then you can cut dependence on us tremendously and prevent your systems going down or being jammed during war.

>>52114782
Of course not. As long as Israel and Pakistan both have nukes, Iran will naturally feel threatened.

The thing about Pakistani nukes that you need to understand is that they got external funding for the whole program, because they couldn't afford it. Supposedly Saudia Arabia funded the whole thing, and Pakis are keeping part of their nukes for them as proxies to use against Iran or give back to SA when the time is ripe.

Iran can be delayed by a good 10-15 years however. We can't stop them indefinitely though. The point is to keep them so far behind, until we can coerce a change in the security situation where nuclear exchange chances would be kept to an absolute minimum, and Iran can't use its proxies without fear of retaliation thanks to nukes.

American technology has reached a point where these things aren't a threat anymore.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RIM-161_Standard_Missile_3
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminal_High_Altitude_Area_Defense

A single Aegis equipped destroyer has 100% chances of destroying 50 ICBMs at once.

This makes nuclear arsenals from India, North Korea or Pakistan nearly obsolete.

It's well known USA has missiles that can hit satellites.
>>
>>52115544
Stealth satellites and rapid response launch vehicles are a thing as are hypersonic missiles which can beat aegis.

The future is having several dozen fast acting launch vehicles that can launch tons of microsatelltes that could last just a few months, but replace the ones shot down in functionality.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. Other players could conceivably catch up to us or come close enough given time. Becoming complacent in a time of peace is how all past great empires fell.

It's a useless waste of money. But it will provide some nice lulz.

Polluted swimming courses, athletes with no air conditioning, carvanal opening. Unlike the WC, the government has a fixed budget and it's getting smaller because of the currency devaluation.

Not to mention the country could be in complete chaos when the Olympics take place.

I guess when Brazil original bid and planned for it in early 2000s was when they assumed they would grow at 7% endlessly and end up nearly a developed nation and global power by 2016.
