Oh god please let this happen. The entire international community has been shilling for this for as long as I can remember. Personally I would love to see how Europe fares without us basically providing for their defense. When the conservative businessmen win the next election cycle, USA will have no choice but to cut back on "foreign aid" and other entanglements, because we're broke, and can no longer pay our bills.
We will be forced to pay attention to what is happening in our own back yards, as it should be.
Soon you will have the opportunity to figure out how to pay for all of the things we've been subsidising with our bribe money. Mostly social programs, I imagine, but it will be interesting, nonetheless.
