Yes I can. I'm not part of the society that it's embedded in which I'd clearly have to be in order to be "part of" the religion but it's perfectly comprehensible. Also remember that you sub-conciously or otherwise embed it in a *lot* of your popular culture, like Murakami, SEL or GitS so it's not like we're not exposed to it.
