English Breakfast is basically the most common variety here - it's what we mean when we refer to tea, even though many people here who drink tea probably don't know that it's English Breakfast because most of the time it's just marketed as standard teabags. Other variants will have their name shown, e.g. Earl Grey, Chai, etc. They're all girls' drinks though. Stick to builder's tea (i.e., English Breakfast).
Twinings is one of the biggest brands here (although a very posh and upmarket brand really) so yeah, it's legit. The most popular mid-market brands are things like PG Tips and Tetleys but maybe you don't get those.
