I have mixed feelings.
I like their focus on the ethnic French, rejection of kebaba colonization, and EU scepticism.
What I don't like is their anti-NATO/anti-American rhetoric and Russian dicksucking.
The US and France have been natural and benificial allies to each other for 240 years now. There's no reason for our countries to be divided by Russian agitators now when we never have been before.
The US and France may be tsundere but we believe in the same core values. A world where the US and France opposed frightens me, it means the West will have finally lost. The thought that Russia could be the thing that divides us is scarier still.

I meant illusion in the sense that their economic power is granted to them, it isn't earned. Their entire econonmy has been riding on a circa 1945 Marshall Paln attitude where "it's okay if the Germans do it because we don't want them to chinp out again, just sign the check."
But now it's become obvious that not only are they corrupt polluters, but they're horribly inefficiant liars too.
Normallly that would be a death sentence for industry in the free market but Germany can apparently get away with it by using its votes in Brussels to destabilize all its neighbors by immigration or predatory loan agreements.
