I have a question for moonspeakers. During the 70s and 80s, many french artists became (allegedly) extremely popular in Japan while their fame fade away in France. This was especially hard to understand because they didn't really promoted their work in Japan and didn't know the first thing about Japan but made huge sales anyway. It became so common that now being "big in Japan" means your career is dead at home.
you have people like Polnareff (pic related) who made huge sales in Japan and was so famous he influenced two major characters in famous manga (his namesake in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Doflamingo in One Piece)
My question is simple: why ? Is it still true ? Do you really know many old french artists or is it just your parents generations or is it just fake ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFIqWaAxDW8
But it's not just about him. For a moment in France, it became the end of every joke that an arstitic creation who completly flopped in France will find a gigantic success in Japan.
"But the Japanese loved it" became the most used excuse to explain someone's new album failure.
Is it better to say ちんこ or ちんぽ

Germany entered into huge debts to rebuild the East after the reunification, some Westerners are still a bit bitter about it evenf if now it's less of a problem thanks to Europe. >Is it true that western people still look down eastern people?
In Germany, people from the east are called "Ossis" and there are lots of stereotypes associated with them (poor, racists, bydlo, etc.) but I don't think any real animosity exists between people from east and people from the west.
Its economic development lags behind the rest of Germany, and to some extent a lot of the stereotypes are true, but there's also a lot of sympathy for people who grew up on the wrong side of the Wall.

If you are friends... or swedish. Also mostly with towels anyway.
But at some point you have to stop fantasize about stuff like that. You want to have sex ? Have sex. You want to enjoy a sauna ? Stop thinking about sex.
When you start getting excited for fucking everything (like panties) you don't realise how far from sex you actually are.
>>51988979
Oh thanks!
>>51989075
>Would everyone in France feel comfortable in such a place?
I actually went with a Bong girl last time I was in the South of France. She hesitated and finally didn't do it (mostly because of me, we're just friends) but for a french girl, provided she's not muslim, she will msot likely roll with it.
>>51989011
Saunas are almost exclusively a Finnish thing though.
Also, although """""""sauna""""""" is a codeword for a place where gay people go to have sex, you can't really have sex in an actual sauna (it's way too fucking hot, you'd end up having a heart attack or passing out).

No it's definitely "Ohp", don't know who that reject is thinking it's "oh pee".
Is it true that mafia(yakuza) is so radicated in Japanese politics and society that mob bosses and affiliates can freely claim to work for yakuza without pretty much having to fear any legal consequences, and some of the most important members are even considered celebrities?
I'm from Sicily, which, as many of you may be aware, can be pretty much be considered the birthplace of western mafia. However, even if the mob still mantains a strong presence in the society, mob affiliates are often forced to hide in order to not get caught by the police, and being a mob affiliate isn't really considered socially acceptable anymore by the majority of people, to the point that many associations were born with the goal to fight mafia in ways that the police couldn't cover(i.e. sensibilization campaigns etc.).
Tl;dr how much is yakuza radicated, what are their methods etc?

I don't know much about Italian mafia, but Yakuza's activities are highly limited by anti-yakuza law in Japan. For example, the law doesn't allow Yakuza to create a bank account. Also having business with Yakuza is not allowed for companies by the law.
On the other hand, Yakuza is often described as "hero" in video games, as you might know. People tend to have an interest about a bad thing, so games about Yakuza is somewhat popular in Japan.
