Directed and produced by jews.

>wears jeans
Invented by a jew.

>cocacola
Rip off of an european drink.

Jews created the american """""culture""""".
>>
americanization is getting bigger and bigger, people are getting desperate and are acting as anti-american as possible

america is going to have a cultural victory eventually, their influence on the western world will mean that they will be too powerful

Come on, now.

They have to dumb down a pre-existing one. How could they possibly create and use a new language?

>>
>>51970338
American accent is actually closer to Jacobean pronunciation. Anglos didn't start dropping their 'r's until the industrial revolution.

>>51969299
Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood, etc. What are the "better" TV shows?
>>
>>51970338

No you literally just simplified words, removed sounds and derivatives of other European influences.
>>
>>51969012

This

People will happily acknowledge Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Brian Wilson and Carey Fukunaga as genuises but won't acknowledge America as a cultural hub.

Also America has the best film and acting schools and Julliard is the best place to learn music.

This era is already called Pax Americana. Not Pax Rus or Pax Chink.

Some people are so butthurt about the US that they want the Chinks or the Slavs to be leading the world and turn it to shit so they can spite US.
>>
>>51970489
it is

mcdonalds is fucking enormous, its around the entire world, and everybody knows about it and eats there, it's as much cultural heritage as, lets say, tea.
>>
>>51970455
>this autism over dropping a few silent u's and swapping z/s
>>

>non-direct
You're just making shit up. Also, Bell Labs, Unix, TCP/IP, all the research and development from the 50s to 91, much of this was heavily funded by the US government and developed in the US.
>>
>>51970600

You could argue that burgers are cultural heritage, but McDonald's is a brand. A huge one yes but nothing more than a brand.
>>
>>51970420
I mean, I watch BBC America, but wow is it crap. If it weren't for Star Trek and David Attenborough, there would be nothing to watch.
>>
>>51970600
Burgers and Cola - yes,
MCDonalds - no
>>
>>51970600

mcdonalds is a private company established in 1940s, that's it.
if you place mcdonalds in the same category as thanks giving or trick-or-treating there is no hope for you any more...
>>
>>51970668
>>51970733
when other countries think of burgers, they think of mcdonalds
>>
>>51970455

Well no shit Sherlock.

We had thousands upon thousands of other Europeans move here that didn't speak English as well as not everyone that did speak English was actually English. What did you expect, for non English immigrants to prefect the accent? It isn't like present day where people whose primary language isn't English start learning it at a young age.

No, parts of other European languages influenced regional dialects and American English as a whole. Granted some Americans are just retarded with their English, but that isn't every one of us.

you realize even Bulgaria has many other brands and non-brands of Burgers,
McDonalds was the first at the scene, but it will not be remembered
the burger it self however will for ever be an iconic fast food
>>

the fact that you are arguing about american influences on your country already signifies just how much culture america has spread

America has no culture in the same way that white people have no culture.

Their culture simply became the default.
>>
>American culture is literal AIDS

>>

But I dont.

And consumerism isnt a culture.
>>
>>51971508

Fuck rap
>>
>>51971750
I see your point. But surely Americans don't hold all the responsibility. Without demand there would be no supply from American corporate media. I think it's necessary to reject a part of your culture in order to adopt some of ours. Whether its music, television, or movies, they have a frisson that's foreign to some indigenous cultures.
>>
>>51969982
So why are you on this one?
>>
>>51969012
Jewry is now American culture.

Well done Murica, next thing you could add to your culture is baby dick cutting.

the wire is overrated shit
>>
>>51975312

I agree

The wire is shitty
>>
>>51975312
>>51975438

Nonsense, The Wire is fantastic. It starts a little slow, but once you're in, there are so many interesting variables. The drug-pushers, the cops, the druggies, the kids, they all have human elements; weaknesses, fortes, benevolence, cruelty, innocence, cynicism. It's very intelligent and relatable writing.
>>
>>51975499

Personal taste desu

Just don't care for it
>>
>>51975630
I understand, but at least it's not your typical police procedural. And honestly, who's making better television than American's these days? Even Charlie Brooker is a complete fanboy for Breaking Bad.
>>
>>51975817
Americans*
>>
>>51975817

I like a good bit of BBC shows.
>>
>>51976283
I like Civilisation and nature documentaries in soothing received pronunciation, but recent BBC dramas like Copper and Eastenders don't do it for me. They're entertaining, but on the level of writing you find in '90s American television.
>>
>>51976645
Eastenders isnt a drama its a soap m8 and I have no idea what Copper is
>>
>>51976737
Soaps are dramas, you silly person.
>>
>>51976801
Its not whats meant when saying drama though
>>
culture is not just tv and coca cola...
>>
>>51976816
What's the point in arguing semantics?
>>
>>51976859
Its not really semantics when were talking about normal usage. Eastenders isnt a recent thing anyway
>>
>>51969299
Every European I've spoken with online watches South Park, an American anime.
>>
>>51969012
Yeah they take other peoples things and bastardize them
>>
>>51976645

Copper was produced by just BBC America, and was cancled because they felt it made the Irish look racist and what not.

You also have to dig around on the Internet to find some BBC shows that are on BBC 3 and what not. Unless you can afford to buy a cable package that has them already.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soap_opera
A soap opera, soapie, or soap is a serial drama on television or radio which features related story lines about the lives of many characters. The stories usually focus on emotional relationships to the point of melodrama.[1] The term soap opera originated from such dramas being typically sponsored by soap manufacturers in the past.[2]

>You also have to dig around on the Internet to find some BBC shows that are on BBC 3 and what not. Unless you can afford to buy a cable package that has them already.

If you have any recommendations, I'll find them on usenet or some public tracker.
>>
>>51977083
Theres a big difference between the normal dramas and that soaps that british broadcasters brodcast and thats what Im referring to m8
>>
>>51977083

I can't stand BBC America during the day.

Every now and then they will run Top Gear or Planet Earth all day which I like, but why fucking star trek? I can't remember if it is Saturday or Sunday mornings they will play a block of Doctor Who and the odd movie here and there.

>>51977132

A buddy of mine that moved here from Southampton turned me onto Bluestone 42 which is pretty good. It is based around a British EOD team in Afghanistan, more of a comedy, but I watched all of it and found it rather enjoyable.
>>
>>51977214
You inferred it, I didn't imply it. I kept it purposely ambiguous to have a similarity between the two shows that I used as examples. But you made your point, thanks.

>>51977355
Star Trek is great. Are you just being dismissive or did you watch the show before?
>>
>>51977451

Yes I have watched many episodes of it, but it just doesn't draw me in. If I have it on I'm typically using it as background noise.
>>
>>51977518
It's not a show I think you can have on in the background, to be honest. You should pay attention to the dialogue in between the technobabble. Each episode is usually about some sort of moral dilemma or heady sci-fi concept. It's pretty cool.
>>
>>51977724

I have watched it, not just having it as background noise, but still just didn't like it a lot.
