Think the Adder snake is the most venomous thing here. Tbqh I'm pretty sure it's like the only venomous thing here aside false widow spider in the south. British wildlife is pretty comfy.
Extremely rare though, only if you go walking in the woods a lot you might see one very rarely.
>>51960542
Probably black bear as I'm on the east coast, but black bears tend to take off when you surprise them enough, though I'm not so sure about some individuals and that's why I carry bear mace.
Also it's been scientifically proven that eastern cougars are back in my area, so yeah.

Ya do the brits or aussies have anything BIG and TERRIFYING?
weta
Idk this is a pretty safe country in terms of fauna
>no large carnivores
>no killer insects
>sealife isn't even that dangerous
Take a walk in the country here and you'll take more damage from the plants. Hell, you'll be lucky to even see an animal that isn't a bird or livestock.
These things are fucking huge and they like to kill humans.

is that the famous canadian goose
>>51960926
Bull moose are mostly aggressive during rut season because bulls are literally filled with testosterone, and also during winter, since they are subject to a lot of stress because of predation and lack of food.
During summer moose are qt and cool as shit.

I'm sick of not having to be worried about anything when I go camping

Moose are absolutely terrifying. I had the displeasure of running into one in Teton National Park.

Stop being a bitch. Unless you ran into your moose between September 1st and October 30th, moose are genuinely sweet animals.
They're like big cows.

M8 even newborns hate your guts. And mothers with newborns hate you even more. And bulls hate you just as much as they hate everything else.
That Simpsons line wasn't a joke. If a cow got the chance it'd kill you and everyone you care about.
>>51961212
Yeah I know, quite spooky. I live in Saguenay, there's no indicator on your website but on the territory where I work at which is 70kms north of Chicoutimi, we get a LOT of cougar sightings every years from people who hunt and have cabins up there. Peopel are not dumb and they know how to make out cougars from lynxes.
>tfw our national animal is a big black bull
cougars or feral hogs here i guess
>>51961243
Nah, I think that's on the west coast. They prey on people riding their bikes and jogging which they mistake for deer. I think our cougars mostly prey on deer, moose calves and snowshoe hares.
>>51961256
Kek, what were you bad experiences with cows?
>>51960542
MOOSE LIVES MATTER.

According to the National Office of Statistics around 25 people each year are killed directly by animals. Of the 25 directly related animal deaths in the UK, the top 5 killers are:
1. Horses: about 10 a year
2. Cows: about 5 a year
3. Domestic dogs: about 4 per year
4. Bees & Wasps: about 3 per year
5. Deer –attacks about 1 per year

I live on a farm. Anytime you enter a field they all turn to stare at you and the calves run back to their mothers. A whole herd once chased me and my dog out of a field when we on the other side and already walking away.
There was also this one time when we moved the cows to a different field. One calf got left behind but we didn't notice until a few hours later. Me and my cousin went over to it when we saw it sleeping in the field. It woke up once we got over and charged at us. This thing was less than two days old and hadn't been with his mother for half a day and it used what little strength it had to try and attack us. Wolves are carnivores but their young would cuddle up to you. Seriously fuck cows.
Also when I was a kid I saw a bull fucking a cow. Except he was really just lying on top of her. Neither of them were moving, except to look around. Then the bull took a shit. That still remains as one of the most depressing images in my mind.
>>51961677

>>51961790
Yowie.
>>51961790
There's 50-60 million of these.
Fuck with one of them, see what happens.
Deer. Specifically bucks (male deer). I live in a place with a shit ton of deer and I can't count the number of times I've nearly been gored while walking my dog.
>>51961871
Strange. I spent a month in the bush on Anticosti island - which is the place with the largest concentration of whitetails in NA - for an internship back in 2010 and all the deer we stumbled on took off, except for those curious enough to stare at out before of course taking off.
>>51961851

>>51961790
These ones aren't as big as bears but they're still pretty dangerous
>>51961632
This is a meme in Pennsylvania. Cougars have lived there for years, but the govt doesn't want to recognize it because it means that they'd have to spend millions in conservation costs. They even hide bodies and shit. It's probably the stupidest thing that the state does because everyone knows that they're there.
