I agree. It has lots of variety. Do you want a circular piece of dough? Strands of dough? Flattened strands of dough? Tubes of dough?
>>
>>51942927
Of course italian food is my favourite but actually i think every country has nice meals
i went to serbia and i was surprised to find really nice food and tasty salads, in Ireland i enjoyed fish soups and in norway i enjoyed starving because everything was too expensive

>>
>>51942927

I wonder how can people say with a straitght face that french cousine is good.

You can literally see how in some time in the past some hungry french peasant found a snail or frog and said to himself "I need find a way to eat that or I will die from hunger" and now people think eating slugs and amphibian is great food.

I really tried to eat typically english cuisine.
The breakfast was good, but the meal was awful. It's not tasty, it tastes weird and it's like a boulder in your stomach.

Nah not really. It's something between salmon and perch imo when it's not fried. It tastes more "fishy" than salmon.
>>
>>51945840
I became both when I started studying.
>>
>>51945767
It was like 3 years ago. I ate it in a church, that was surprisingly a restaurant.
The drink was made from plants. I don't remember the course meal, but it didn't taste that good. The dessert was like a fruit pie (cranberries, IIRC) and it was like a stone in your stomach if you eat it.
The english breakfast in the hotel was good though. I was in London. 3/4 of the hotel staff was paki or booinloo.

General things I know.

Balkans: make healthy and tasty traditional food
Italy, France, Spain, Turkey: top tier
Hungary: makes good desserts
Germany: makes good chocolate, uses potatoes a lot, not that good when it comes to home food taste
Poland: Traditional dishes, mostly uses potatoes, meatballs, apples etc.
Ukraine: exports a lot of nuts
Russia: somewhat similar to balkans, but varies a lot
Balts+Scandis: no idea
Portugal: probably similar to Spain

Hard to say, we shall never know, but my guess i yes someone sick did this on purpose.
From Wikipedia:
>Far more lutefisk is consumed in the United States than in Scandinavia, much of it by Scandinavian Americans in Lutheran churches and fraternal lodges.

Only muh hertiage fags like it.
>>
>>51947648
i think more is consumed here on the count of 320 million population vs like 15-20 million in scandinavia

btw did you see the episode of king of the hill where bobby ate the lutefisk? classic
>>
>>51947648
I see. We have a similar thing with corned beef. We don't actually eat much of it here but some muh heritage fags great-great-great grandmother's friend's aunt's second cousin had it in a Jewish deli in New York so it's clearly traditional fare from the ol' Emerald Isle.

We eat ham here. Corned beef was just more available when tons of us went to America since we lived near Jewish places.

Nothing, they've just read blog posts about holodets. Even Russians are barely familiar with Russian food unless they visited countryside in their childhood or hunt for it in Russian restaurants in Russia. We literally eat the same totally normal food as everyone except like 5 dishes. It's all pies, soups and porridges. The same goes for Nordic food, they're just memeing about mammi and surstromming.

There's simply a strong correlation between climate and food. In colder climates food always had to be simple, nutritious and made from the few ingredients that could be found/grown.
>>
>>51948803

Maybe it's because we didn't get a big wave of poor French immigrants?
>>
>>51947992
I actually like corned beef. We have it at home sometimes. But lots of Americans come here expecting corned beef when it's just not that common.

True. Thus southern countries usually have the best food, since more plants grow there, so there is a wider selection available, and for a longer time.
>In colder climates food always had to be simple, nutritious
>nutritious
Triggered.
How do you make a nutritious meal out of...fish, potatoes and cabbage? You don't. It's gross. Nordic countries should stay the fuck out of the kitchen.

Is this the real life?

Tiramisu, julienne, creme brulee, camembert, brie, roquefort, croissants, bechamel, mayonnaise, truffles (at least you can try a sauce or an omelet), ratatouille, eclairs, meringues, grillage, profiteroles.

too lazy to do a map

Italy: the ingredients taste better than any ingredients any American could possibly fathom. ate pizza every day and it was glorious

France: just ok, didn't wow me. i tried everything- the local breakfast place was really subpar; the restaurants were just average. was really expecting more

England: amazing fish and chips, tea time, great snack food. surprisingly good. also had great indian food there.

Germany: literally my friend got food poisoning from a sandwich. that aside, the food was subpar
