It was fun, Autobahn 7 was by where I lived. It had a no speed limit section. I only got to drive it in a hummer though, at 45 mph or 70 kph. I got to see plenty of Porsches fly by me.

I rode on others, my friend scared the shit out of me going over 200 kph in heavy rain with a VW Golf on the way to the Netherlands. I didn't drive a car for 5 years, so no high speeds for me.
Germans seem to take take driving very seriously, I like that. I also never saw one car accident my whole time there, that's pretty good.

They have pretty strict vehicles inspections, so if somebody owned a 1975 Renault, it would probably still easily be able to go 160 kph.
